Title: Apple & Pineapple Chutney (Margaret O'sullivan)

1kgCooking apples; peeled, cored & chopped
1 Pineapple; peeled, cored & chopped
1cBrown sugar
3tsChopped preserved ginger
1tsGround cinnamon
1tsGround cloves
1/2cSultanas (golden raisins)
1ts;salt
1c;water
1cMalt vinegar

Simmer the apples, water and sugar for 15 minutes before adding all other ingredients excepting the vinegar. Stir well. Simmer for another 15 minutes, then add the vinegar. Simmer until thick, stirring occasionally. Pour into jars and seal.
